Chaplain Chatter (June edition)

My Name is Aaron Terlecki and I am pleased to serve as the Chaplain of the Dickson County Jail. As my good friend and cousin Grant Allen says, “I’m covered up in some fired up!” Seriously, I am overwhelmed and overjoyed to serve in such an important and rewarding ministry.

God has given me the privilege and responsibility to pastor 250-300 inmates residing at the Dickson jail. What an awesome opportunity! I covet your prayers. Surely I cannot do this ministry justice without the power and help of the Holy Spirit of God. Pray for me, for the inmates, the staff, and the many volunteers who come into the jail on a daily basis in the name of Jesus.

I like for everyone to know at least 3 things about me:

1. I love the Lord. I strive to love Him with all my heart, mind, and strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. He has been a wonderful Savior and Shepherd for my life.

2. I love people. This is the second greatest command. These two commandments are inseparable. If a man loves God as he ought, he will love people as well, because God loves people! I love and sincerely hope to help the inmates at our jail.

3. I love the Word of God. I believe that God has given us a revelation, and that revelation is the Bible. I love to teach and preach from its inspired pages. I believe that its words hold the power to save people and to change lives. I am thankful for the opportunity to minister its truths in the county jail.

In addition to the above information, you may be interested to know that I will have been married to my lovely wife, Lori Terlecki, for 20 years this August. We have 6 incredible kids of whom we are very proud and are raising to know, love and serve the Lord. I have been a Dickson County resident since 1985.

Please feel free to contact me anytime night or day by phone or text at 615-441-4951, or by email at atfollowhard@gmail.com. May God lead you in the way of blessing.
